| After you register your PIN, you may renew books etc. without having to visit the Library. |
| How do I obtain a PIN? |
| To register a PIN, present your library card in person with proof of identity to a member of staff. |
| Your PIN may be any four-digit number. |
| Renewing borrowed items through the internet |
| Using your four-digit PIN and 14-digit membership card no., you may renew borrowed items |
| over the internet. The maximum no. of renewals per checkout is set at six, but items cannot be |
| renewed if they have been requested by others, or when you membership has expired. |
| Requesting items throught the internet (Books, CDs, etc.) |
| Use the Quick Search or Advanced Search to search the library catalogue.
If the required item is listed, |
| click on the Request Copy button after selecting the copy or item - preferably a copy
listed in the branch library you use. |
| If the select item is displayed as 'checked in', please telephone the selected branch library to confirm this. |
| (There is no need to telephone if the item is shown to be 'checked out' as staff will be automatically |
| alerted when the item is returned) |
